Old Cars & Rust

Old Cars & Rust

A happy accident; Would be a good title for a future blog..

Sometimes not having anything in mind at all can be a good thing.

I am really enjoying this aspect of things. I feel like by the time I really start sharing this site with people it will have a lot of good things.

I was on my way to get a camera bag today and happened to see both of these cars. My wife was driving and I had may camera up front!

The rust and blue together are beautiful

I have no idea what kind of car this is, I am normally really good at telling what is what and being close to the year but I have not a single clue.

The headlights, grill, the contrast with the rubber mat on the tow truck, the chains. It all is to perfect.

On to the second vehicle find of the day is this Volkswagen from the 1960’s (I believe)

1960’s?

Cars are something I really enjoy shooting. I have only done some, but I love all the little details you can get. Bad example of the little details because this is some random car and I didn’t want to get all up on it.

The soft top being tore really gives this character.

The gloss paint, and the mate from fading against each other is awesome.

I should have and probably will now do a Black & White of this one!

I am so glad I did!!

I couldn’t do much with this one because it was surrounded by homes and a business. Last thing I want is the cops called because I am being weird.

Creating a website

Creating a website without any clue

Deciding to leave social media and create something on a website without any idea how to manage or do any of it is insane, right?

I have no idea what to write about on a blog, but I feel if someone is going to actually come to this site and take a look I might as well have something to share.

We made Newburgh Lock and Dam Northbound today with the M/V Ohio River Pride on our Port Side headed to Rockport.

I decided I wanted to try and make a website for a photography portfolio and try and have a place to stash all (most) of my photos.

I think doing this weekly maybe would be nice. Updating what I have done or what I am trying to learn with photography.

90% of my photos are work (river) related.

I also have to go back and downscale a lot of my photos to work with this website (20mb).
