Film
My love for photos started from film photography as a kid. I got to play around with my first full roll 21 years ago. After that I just could not get enough of taking photos and capturing memories.
I think film is such a special and under appreciated processes of creating images. The science in it all is unreal.
The more I shoot, and the more I scan and learn the more I appreciate everything I am able to create and recover.
Scanning film that is over 25 years old and bringing back photos that have been ruined is a feeling I can not begin to explain.
Scanning a negative and creating a new photo of someone who is no longer here is a really special thing.
I will have a blog about my first time having film processed and I will come back and link it somewhere when I do. These film edits I love so much.
It was so worth the time it took, being able to see these images completed and so much color and grain. Some did not turn out great, but it was user error with some of the lenses I had tried, but that is part of it.
And added below will be an expired roll of film I had sent in to be processed from a disposable camera we bought in summer of 2022
The colors of these I love so freaking much!
